We offer onsite LOAD TESTING. This is an often overlooked test of the vital systems of your generator, whether it is a natural gas, propane, or a diesel powered machine. To perform a load test, we bring a portable load bank to your site, connect it to the generator. While the generator is running, we introduce varying amounts of Kilowatt (kW) loads to the system via the load bank. This allows the generator to be observed, while performing under a working load, allowing the complete system to be monitored for any irregularities.
By performing such a test, we can often identify otherwise hidden issues, like coolant leaks or fuel supply problems, that may not be revealed by exercise runs, or even loaded tests. This is because many times the generator is oversized for the actual loads of a particular facility. So, the normal load may not be of a magnitude, or the run time long enough in duration to reveal problems that are brought about by the normal stresses of extended load bank test. Also, with a load bank test, the facilty experiences no disruption during the testing process-not the case when using facility systems to load test with. Load testing can find issues, identify irregularities and allow them to be corrected, before they become problems.
